“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” – Acts 2:42
Outside our Sunday gatherings we seek to provide discipleship for adults in all stages of life, whether married, single, parents, or not. Here are some of the ways we seek to accomplish this:
As the early church was, we know that we are to be devoted to the apostles’ teachings in the Word of God. We affirm this devotion through discipleship classes on Sunday and Wednesday evenings throughout the year. The studies can range from the biblical view of marriage, to finances or missions. We have classes and groups which range in age from college students to senior adults. For more information on discipleship opportunities at YCBC please contact our Discipleship Pastor Chris Holmes.
Christian Life Center (CLC)
The Christian Life Center opened in 2008 and provides many opportunities for our church and community. From regular workout classes to a meeting place for our Wednesday night suppers, this addition to our building has been a welcome and well used part of our ministry. For more information on the CLC, contact Family Life and Recreation Pastor, Tom Collier
Midweek Prayer Service
Just as the early church was devoted to prayer, so we believe that prayer the backbone of all we do. On Wednesday nights at 6:15 we offer a regular time to gather to pray for needs in our church, as well as a list of needs each week, at our prayer service.
We also offer ways for members to serve as teachers, musicians, mentors, cooks, and more for all our ministries within YCBC. Contact any of our ministers if you would like to know more about ways to serve in the church.
